Review of "Bound by Night"

Hey everyone,
I just finished reading “Bound by Night” the first book in the Moonbound Clan Vampire series and wow. Larissa Ione has done it again. Ione takes readers on a roller coaster of emotion with her new series.  Set in a completely different world then her Demonica series that’s just as engaging and immersive as her previous series.  Bound by Night is a fairly easy read depending on what one has going on and how much time the can devote to it. For me it took only two days to read as I had a few days off.

While reading this book I could not help but to fall in love with the characters and felt their emotions as my own.  Ione does not delve deep into all characters as some get their stories in other books. The characters all play their roles in the book the way one has come to know and love of Ione’s characters.

The books plot is your typical love story, with a few new twists that I was not expecting nor did I see coming. One thing that I really like about the vampire lore is that that there are two types of vampires, born and made. Born vampires are struggling to raise their ranks, problems arise when doing so. Made vampire are made in your typical “they suck your blood, you suck their blood, it’s a whole big sucking thing” (buffy the vampire slayer season one) kind of way. Ione takes us as readers on two different perspectives, our heroine/hero, in a successful attempt to engage the readers into the story.

I highly recommend this book to any fan of the paranormal romance series, or Larissa Ione fans.
